RedotsClub Kenya Hosts First Dunch as It Pushes Everyday Crypto Adoption

What happens when crypto moves beyond wallets and exchanges and into everyday life?

That was the idea behind RedotsClub Kenya's first Dunch, held on Saturday, August 8, at Kingfisher Nest in Westlands.

The meetup brought together RedotPay users and ecosystem contributors around the core priorities RedotsClub Kenya is focusing on locally: driving real-world utility and fostering collaborative growth.

Making crypto easier to spend

The concept behind RedotPay is fairly simple. You might hold USDT, USDC, BTC or ETH, but your landlord or Netflix subscription won't accept it directly.

The usual workaround is to sell through a P2P trader, then wait for the money to reach your bank account before spending it.

RedotPay is removing some of those steps with a card that lets users spend their crypto through regular card payments.

That made everyday utility a natural part of the conversation at the Dunch. Community members exchanged experiences using the app and card, discussing what it takes to make crypto more useful beyond simply holding it.
